@pfefferle I have to give it more thought, but I believe so. It seems the plugin is going to end up becoming far too bloated for what I thought it would do (syndicate content). And it results mostly in tagging/like spam. None of which is a critique on any one's hard work on this... it just may not be for me. I haven't decided yet, but I think I will end up uninstalling. So I want to know the best way to do so without leaving a bunch of endpoints or files.
- How can I use my blog's user as my main Mastodon account? Is that reasonable to think about? - If I did, would my site need a lot more resources to keep up with requests, storage, etc? - Can I use an app like Ivory to post, follow accounts, etc?
@pfefferle@cdevroe have to admit I plan to uninstall too. Without being able to use third party apps to interact with people it just doesn’t suite my workflow. For example Phanpy allows me to connect to my install but doesn’t actually allow me to interact with the outside world. No idea why. Says it is connected. Nothing I post shows up elsewhere.
It feels like one has to be quite techie to use it. I used to think that was me but I can’t get my head around AP etc.
