These days one of the most striking books I've read is Paved Paradise, by Henry Grabar.

The politics in them might not work for you if you're looking for something that helps you explore anarchism deeply. But I guess when I was younger there was a lot that prodded me to think more carefully and compassionately about my political approach.
@hakan_geijer I find Terry Pratchett to be lovely to be immersed in for a while.
My Real Children was also amazing, though I cannot yet bear to reread it because it gave me so many feelings (years ago).
