     @gupgupextreme the biggest issue with qemu is that unless you use the specific irqsplit flag provided the mouse and keyboard interrupts will conflict with each other and cause erroneous keyboard and/or mouse inputs when uses in combination. Terry's own Linux scripts used this flag but no one else except me seems to encourage it's use.
     
     qemu uses a harsh square wave for the PC speaker that sounds less natural than the sine wave produces by vmware.
     
     vmware has the best performance, especially regarding VGA BIOS data transfer which is the single biggest bottleneck.
