It is amusing to me that most media reports on yesterday’s military parade are just plain refusing to provide a crowd estimate. A few are repeating the White House’s assertion of 200,000. Overall it seems everyone is unwilling to hazard a guess.
What is clear is it wasn’t 200,000. It also probably wasn’t anywhere close to that. I ran a race recently with about 55,000 people, and I can tell you that the crowd there certainly visually seemed much larger than what I’m seeing from the parade.
