    This weekend I am reminded of the New Middle East Project, an Anglo-American-Israeli “military roadmap” in the Middle East, launched in Tel Aviv in 2006 by Ehud Olmert and Condoleezza Rice.
    The project, in the planning stages for several years, consisted in creating an arc of instability, chaos, and violence extending from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria to Iraq, the Persian Gulf, Iran, and the borders of NATO-garrisoned Afghanistan.
