Therapy actually works. But it depends how you define therapy. Therapy, from the Greek θεραπεία (therapeia) meaning healing, is the antidote to Trauma, from the Greek τραύμα (travma) meaning wound. Would an atheist therapist—raised and educated on false assumptions about the human psyche—induce trauma or therapy? Healing or wounding? Rather, can the atheist image of man (an animal without purpose) induce anything but destruction?
How different things become when we allow Christ our Creator to be in charge of our healing. What thousands of men cannot, Christ can and He does: raising you up from the undergrowth full of thorns in which you yourself and others had thrown you; mending your cuts, scratches, and stopping your bleeding. Lending you not only a shoulder so you can walk, but by walking with Him, by taking His paths, by hearing His word, a pair of wings.
