   @larsmb Brazil has a 'Military Police' force, whose constitutional function, as established in article 144, §5, of the Federal Constitution, is to exercise ostensive policing and the preservation of public order. This model is a doomed inheritance from dictatorship period, and have been consistently used to repress minorities, and is responsible for a genocide of black communities for years.

     The mere fact that the US have "para"military combat brigades for fighting their own citizens and within their own borders boggles this German's mind and maybe they should have learned from our history how that's a very bad thing to have indeed.
