   No rioting. No looting.

   Despite Trump's *fervent desire* to have something to violently suppress—and brag about at UFC—people are just resisting kidnappings by armed/masked terror units.

     Violence-thirsty conservatives will keep beating that drum—riots are about to happen! Must be bad if they have to call in the national guard!—but way too many normies believe that narrative & it's what allows it to happen.

     Maybe the LA kidnappings by Trump goons will erode/break that narrative. /🧵

     We need to break the hold of that narrative—the people will riot! Government must show up to establish order!—when it's always, entirely, the cops/military that provoke, enact, and escalate the violence.

     Trump is actively trying to provoke the people through his lawlessness so he can crack down more and gain more power.

     Part of resistance is understanding this and working to undermine it (it's why skater boi was so effective)...
