     What's your DE? I use labwc which is a mostly intercompatible with openbox configs since it's basically a clone of it, you only need to change a handful of lines in your configs.

     @dushman@hollow.raccoon.quest to what? there are no compositors that exist that fit my needs, and i haven't written my own one yet (i will consider switching/at least using it along with x11 when i do so, since it in theory would be one-to-one compatibility wise with the x11 version of my desktop environment)

     Wayland is pretty good these days imo, it used to be rough but now it's more stable than X for me. X needed a more modern replacement, it carries a lot of antiquated spaghetti code.
