     @br00t4c Americans have been taught that nobody in power is ever going to have their backs, it's every person for themselves here.

     The MAGAts are omnipresent, a threat that never backs off one whit. Allies are thin on the ground and largely in the same very disempowered/learned helplessness states, not to mention spread thin across the country.

     We're not numb, we're overwhelmed. We all want to help but none of us want to be the one who gets martyred in vain.
