     I so wish academics would use raw HTML or ePub (which is basically HTML/CSS + images in a zip).

     @RedTechEngineer djvu like PDF is for scanned texts aka emulated dead-tree.
     
     Which is just horrible when the font of the authors sucks, also horrible when they didn't provide table-of-content and plain text alternative (allows searching and text-to-speech).

     @lanodan Is it a PDF export of a word document containing jpegs from a scan of printed version of the original document ? :yay:
