@nugger It's one of my less popular opinions, but I'm completely fine with student loan bailouts, provided it only covers up to tuition+housing and the degree is rescinded.
I could be very smug and say "I was smart and didn't go for a useless degree, fuck everyone else" but that's like three-quarters of all millennials and a third of Gen Z that are total wage slaves forever. Maybe *I* recognized that a bachelor's in CS was going to be useless way back in 2013, but obviously nobody else did and they really shouldn't suffer the same as an art history major. Neither of them should "suffer."

HIGHER EDUCATION IN ITS CURRENT STATE IS A NET NEGATIVE, IT CANNOT LAST LONG THE WAY IT'S GOING, AND IT IS LOSING ACCUMULATED VALUE QUA REMAINING TRAINED PROFESSIONALS AND ACADEMICS, FAST
THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO POP THE BUBBLE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE TO MINIMIZE THE BACKGROUND DECAY.
COLLAPSE WILL BE CATASTROPHIC EITHER WAY, WHETHER UNIVERSITIES ARE LEFT TO FESTER OR CRASHED IMMEDIATELY.
MY PET FAVORITE MEANS TO CRUSH THEM WOULD BE TO DEMAND THAT THEY PAY THE STUDENT LOANS OUTSTANDING FROM THEIR GRADUATES.
