   went to use the kobo to read just like, some recreational non-study book. backlight as annoying my eyes. :comfyglare:
   
   something about the way they made these darkens the screen in normal room light. i dunno if its the backlight, or the color layer, or the recess, or what, but the remarkable 2 and nomad don't have backlights and are beautiful in room light.
   
   the kobo needs a very low backlight to be truly comfy. but if i'm staring at a lamp why am i using e-ink in the first place :blobcatglare2:

     @kaia yes but then the screens dark :blobcatgoogly: something about how they built it absorbs light so its darker than the no-backlight, no-color screens.
