     @solidsanek Thank you for the pointers! May have taken longer than it should but I've themed my profile and written an introduction that doubles as a biography for me. Hopefully I'll encounter some more like-minded people to shoot the breeze with. ^^

     @Maholmire Many things could be done, including:
     - Writing a bio with your interests, for example
     - Talk more about said interests
     - Maybe only keep the links on your profiles to the places you're actually active on, as this might give off the false impression that you're just here to plug your things without actually wishing to interacts with others
     - Write an introduction post and pin it on your profile
     
     What you could also do is browse the "Known Network" and interact or follow people that catch your attention. Don't hesitate to follow people at first, and from there curate your timeline with those who you share similar traits or interests with.
     
     Personally, I enjoy hearing about the things people are into, their hobbies, the last things they tinkered with, etc. and many other people do, so if that's your thing too, don't hesitate to talk about your hobbies! That's often how you get interactions
