@HockeyDoxie There's a site called Furkot, for planning road trips. All you'd have to do is overlay that with a US Census GIS map. Have the user enter start and stop points, with a maximum % black rating for the township. I wouldn't count highways running through said areas as dangerous, but maybe it'd warn you not to take an exit there.
