     I filter all html emaiils through `lynx -dump`, and it's become a frustratingly common routine to have to cut/paste urls into a text file and patch together several consecutive broken lines of base64 in order to be able to get to the indicated content.
     
     Meanwhile a 6 character long hash including any of the 66 url safe characters (excluding delimiters) provides nearly 83 billion unique combinations. Developers who require anything more than that either need a very good technical reason, or ought to be immediately defenestrated from a top floor window of the nearest high-rise.
