    Utah is going to legally require social media interoperability and portability of the social graph.

    Wow, this law has been signed and it somehow passed under my radar. IMHO It has a good change to substantially impact the open social web, in a very good way.

    Thanks @tchambers for the tip!

      @j12t @tchambers
      Who determines "the extent technically feasible"?
      How much work is a media company required to perform in order to make it technically feasible?
      What keeps Facebook from just answering all requests with "not technically feasible"?

      @tchambers @j12t
      It's a Utah law, so it's clearly not "each state does."
      And I don't think it's a matter that the state of Utah does, or somewhere they'd reference "standards as selected or promulgated by the Utah Department of Blah Blah."

      @brouhaha @j12t Sorry, on the site they list that 6 other states are looking to pass very similiar laws, and in each the local state will be the judge that the platforms are adhering to the law.
