@waifu this reminds me of that one time i was watching some algorithm-pushed codingslop video on youtube. he was making his own image format (actually it was just bitmap but worse) and he says "i'll store the values in hexadecimal format instead of decimal because it saves space" and i thought ???? no it does not until i realized he was using strings instead of bytes waifu likes this.
