Samsung Display ceased sourcing critical metals for display production from Russia in 2024, according to the company's responsible minerals report.

Previously, gold, tungsten, and tantalum were supplied by Krastsvetmet, Solikamsk Magnesium Plant, and other Russian enterprises, but in 2024, they were removed from the company's supply chain.

The decision was driven by the risk of secondary sanctions.
