@lynn @zimoun @civodul I know that I am relatively terrible at using GUIs and have been very lucky having been able to avoid them for the most part... except for the browser. Still hoping that (the dependency on the browser) will change.

I have seen people using GUIs and it's anything but efficient. Looking around, scanning the entire screen for visual clues of places where one might steer their mouse pointer to and aim to click, moving fingers from the home row? Also, GUIs tend all to be uniquely different and change all the time without notice. Unprogrammable, often without undo and losing text you typed, no sensible or programmable shortcuts when typing.

No thank you. I have been living in Emacs for decades and intend to keep doing so. Also, you assume too much ;)

@zimoun @civodul @janneke i get that it is different and something new to learn, but in my opinion (i do software and have tried to do the email workflow in the past) it is much easier for people who do general software development in their day-time to now contribute to Guix. Reviewing PR is a skillset (it is often how we can differentiate junior and senior roles, how well and effectively they manage PR reviews among other things) that definitely needs time to learn though.
