@skatox Glad to hear it! LibreOffice has never been written in Java, BTW – the vast majority of the codebase has always been C++. There were a few features implemented in Java but also rarely-used.

I am used to using Google Docs and OnlyOffice for my documents, but yesterday, due to the limitations of bibliographic citations in my thesis, I had to use @libreoffice. I realized how fast it is to be native and the number of options for anything in a document.
I remember a few years ago that because it was in Java, it was slow, but I am surprised how fast it is now. The developers have done a good job.
