   Full decriminalization is the ONLY way to truly protect sex workers' and our customers' rights (be it online or in-person services)

   The Nordic Model is a SWERF invention that aligns perfectly with christofascist and conservative ideas. It is a tool of CONTROL that wants to PHASE OUT sex work and regards all of it as TRAFFICKING.

   For fuck's sake, stop using the guise of *women's rights* to do the right-wingers' bidding!

     There is scientifically valid proof that the Nordic Model resulted in direct harm to sex workers instead of alleged protection, customers weren't deterred from soliciting sexual services and the amount of trafficking hasn't been reduced.

     The Model is made up of 3 main laws:

     - the "anti-pimping law"
     - "mandatory termination of rental contracts for apartments and rooms used for prostitution"

     and

     - the "ban on purchasing sexual services"

     Earnings from sex work are taxable, but it is not recognized as an "activity". Sex workers must register under another profession or offer their services on the black market. If discovered, they risk arbitrary auditing and are often forced to make substantial back payments.

     The Swedish "Youth Care Act" allows the detainment of young people if they "endanger their health or development through drug use, criminality, or 'socially destructive behavior'."
     The latter includes escorting or working in a strip club. Though mainly concerning minors, in cases of "socially destructive behavior," the law applies up to the age of 21!

     ‼️Sex workers are not allowed to: help each other find clients, act as supervisors or advertise. In other words, they are not allowed to work together and ensure their own basic safety through building community

     ‼️Even ATTEMPTS to solicit sexual services are punishable

     ‼️Sweden did NOT decriminalize the sale of sexual services. Apparently, the opposite has been widely reported by international media despite being an hoax

     ‼️Harm reduction action is impeded by the anti-pimping law, e.g. the distribution of free condoms is often regarded (by the legal laymen) as promoting prostitution
