     It no longer matters if the software is open source or proprietary: it's jeets and troons all the way down. Every single programmer on earth wants me dead for being white, male, straight, and not judeo-communist. Seems like all you can do is choose the evil that's less likely to remote control your files and/or spy on you and report every move you make to Blackrock/Vanguard/State Street.
