@Nagaram Bare metal; I’ve used Ubuntu before (nothing too technical), this is just my first time using Ubuntu server. I found a few walkthroughs but the system gave me an error message (no photo as I’m not home). I think I skipped a preliminary step prior to following the instructions

@bradley @Nagaram I’m sure that’s what the issue is; I’ll do a wired connection this evening just to get everything started and then I’ll backtrack to try to troubleshoot why I was running into that issue

@jesse_saenz @Nagaram good luck, had a bunch of trouble with the same thing.
Not sure the answers but if you can somehow get a wired connection to just run updates that usually fixes it.
I think wifi drivers missing can cause this as well.
