These two #film experiences involved manipulative, narcissistic, paranoid men who got away with terrible things, either cruelty or fabrication of truth, or both, until they were exposed. But both are living with it, and Miscavige still exercises great power and wealth, so the lesson is that the consequences for shatteringly bad behavior in this culture are slight. Which is a lesson the GOP has learned all too well. #cult

Tonight I'm watching I think two films.
First up is Shattered Glass (2003), directed by Billy Ray, starring Hayden Christensen, Peter Sarsgaard, Chloë Sevigny, and Steve Zahn. It's a biopic about journalistic standards and fabricated stories... I know, right?

After that, Going Clear (2015), Alex Gibney's documentary about Scientology, based on Lawrence Wright's book. It's kind of infamous I guess?
Mr. Bill repeated this.
