I was in a meeting recently where someone couldnt stick around longer (which is a FINE AND NORMAL limitation as a TEMPORAL BEING), and left a surveillance LLM in the call so that it could "summarize it for them later." It's been more than a week, and I haven't gotten close to the bottom of how depressing the entire universe of that idea is. It immediately made me have no interest in interacting with them ever again.
I am more than happy to write down what I'm working on, and in fact view that as a basic responsibility of doing that work. I was actually presenting directly from the public documentation of the project because I believe I should only use the information that is available to everyone when talking about that thing. If you care about me or what I do you would look at the enormous surface of explanation I really do expose about it.
Turning on a surveillance device to summarize what I said as if it was a replacement for all the work I have done to make that information available to you is an unimaginably rude thing to even think of doing. To not even acknowledge how cringe being a servant of "productivity hacking" infocapital is just totally beyond me as someone whose public presentation is already highly cringe.
