I'm going to find an ancient version of Debian jessie to throw on this thing just to get a damn video player running. If it plays, it's good enough.
In before some retard tells me it's a bad idea to run unpatched software on a device with no internet connection, no keyboard, and no mouse.

Attempted to put an old RaspberryPi into service as a video player to just loop a 720p h264 ad roll for the business.
This is a format for which decoding is supported in hardware.
The Pi took 18 minutes to boot to desktop, and was unable to draw file manager elements in pcmanfm.
The cursor could barely move across the screen in OpenBox.
The video played at 5fps because the desktop composter is fucked (lol wayland).
Tell me again about how code isn't getting exponentially worse.
