     I'm not super freaked out TBH, I was around when Mangatraders went down and everybody acted like that was gonna be the apocalypse for western manga reading. Yeah it sucked for a while, but eventually things stabilized and got better. If anything this might be a good thing, a reminder to everyone not to rely on one flaky website obsessed with being "official and professional".
     
     In fact, this situation is actually a good bit better than it might have been otherwise, since only stuff from big-name publishers got hit, rather than the site just disappearing wholesale and taking absolutely everything with it. I'd be much more worried about all the little obscure works getting lost than stuff coming from Kadokawa or whoever else was involved in this clownshow.

     idk man 90% of the stuff I wanted to read was incomplete on mangadex 9/10 times
     most of the other aggregators had more complete sets anyway and even then sometimes they wernt complete
     every single time torrents have been 100% complete and have never failed me

     again stuff like this matters if people dont rehost things
     
     and torrenting is by far the easiest way to do it. you just seed it until you get that 15 ratio and then you dont have to ever think about it again

     Yeah, but how often does a series exist that doesn't have a torrent at all? Plenty of stuff in my library has no results on any torrent site at all, not even an incomplete torrent. 🤷
     
     Also a shitload of torrents are just lazy rips of the official trannylation, which has its own set of problems. :hoshino_weary:
