Very open questions: - Where are yall learning and thinking about new ideas right now? What books, youtubes, podcasts, posters, friends in the group chat, etc. What's sparking new lines of thinking for you or giving you new tools for understanding life or politics or art or whatever? - Are you having any interesting conversations these days? Where are you having them (online, irl, otherwise)? - Are you putting anything out into the world yourself that you want people to engage critically with?
@SymbolicCity yeah going a few layers of links down is really great way to enter entirely new worlds!
Congrats on putting up the prototype! I read it over, though I think I'm probably not the target audience here so I'm not sure I'd have much to offer. It feels like the "mythic heroes overcoming obstacles" genre of ttrpg is a really hard one to stand out in! What inspired or drove you to want to make this particular one?
@clarity — For new ideas, I usually dig a layer or two down in posts that crop up in my RSS feed. Blogs you follow tend to fall into predictable patterns, but if follow the links they're talking about, challenging stuff crops up. — I put up a small TTRPG prototype a few weeks ago, hoping to get some feedback/criticism: https://symboliccity.itch.io/sacred-beasts Nothing yet, but I know it takes people a while to get games to the table, even when they're excited about them.
