   So, humanity, what have you achieved in hundreds of thousands of years?

   Well, we created a system of artificial scarcity where you die of lack of shelter, hunger, and preventable medical conditions if you don’t have enough trinkets.

     The crazy thing is that we have also invented technologies and systems so that none of those things need to happen, to anyone, in the whole world. We could support a poverty-free population of billions of people, against all expectations. And then we overlaid that abundance with this stupid trinket-scarcity system.
