   I had someone ask me what is the difference between Pleroma and Mastodon and I didn't have a better answer than "Pleroma is anime avatars and ironic shitposting whereas Mastodon is one guy's feifdom of rejected pull requests"
   
   How would you describe it?

     @flab I'd just say Pleroma is more lightweight to host, has more features than Mastodon, is more configurable from the admin side and also has a silly looking interface. Mastodon is like, I guess a bit more traditional for a transitioning X the everything app user. Because you know what X is at this point right? Surely, x.com just doesn't go to a website with the contents of just "x" at this time right? That'd be silly.

     @flab I don't think you'd have to mention all of the access background detail but like, "silly interface and fast" is a decent explanation.
