"Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested Friday for allegedly trespassing inside an ICE detention center in his city.

Kabir Moss, spokesman for Baraka’s NJ gubernatorial campaign, confirmed arrest.

3 U.S. House Dems from NJ were also there, acc. to Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman:

'We’re at Delaney Hall, an ICE prison in Newark that opened w/out permission from city & in violation of local ordinances.

We’re exercising oversight authority to see [conditions] for ourselves.' "
