Nobody warns you, but raising children is terrible for your health. I had nearly 20 years of booze, drugs and partying under my belt when my son was born, but physically and mentally I was still in pretty good shape. But after 5 years of clean & sober parenting? I'm a WRECK.

@fesshole The problem with parenting is that the job requirements keep shifting. By the time you've really got the hang of the "caring for a 2 year old" thing, they are 4 and the job is completely different. If your employer did that to you, you wouldn't put up with it. "Look, I understand that no job is static but, if you are going to keep changing mine, you've got to clearly describe those changes ahead of time."
