     @theorytoe i’m using templeos, but only because i started it when i was fucking around in tempeos. any graphics library that allows you to write pixels to a surface, either directly or via a texture, should be good enough

     @theorytoe if you still want to do it, i can explain the dithering/palette conversion algorithm. you can use it as a framebuffer effect without the whole software rendering part. it’s an original solution, i haven’t documented it anywhere, and the three people who saw the code didn’t understand it.

     I can figure out my way through code, though I will say graphics programming is not my strong suit so I may be stupid with it
