"A defiant viral challenge brought a Mexican taquero to the brink of death after accepting a proposal from tiktoker HotSpanish to travel to India and try street food, with the tantalizing promise of winning a late-model car.
“What's up carnal, I offer you a van if you dare to travel to India and eat street food? And if you do, I'll fulfill a prize of your choice,” HotSpanish proposed to the taquero, who, although hesitant, accepted the proposal in the hope of obtaining a vehicle that would help him move faster around the city and grow his business.
Accompanied by a member of the HotSpanish team, the taquero visited a street food stand, where Peruvian tiktoker Óscar Curi previously went, and who allegedly died from eating bad food, which went viral on social networks.
“No mames, carnal, where did you bring me? The man picks up the food from the floor and throws it back into the pot. I'm really nervous, it looks really disgusting,” said the taquero before tasting the food.
Shortly after ingesting the food, the taquero began to feel unwell, showing signs of malaise such as paleness and sweating. He was rushed to a nearby Indian hospital, where he received medical attention.
“No ma, güey, that mother I don't know what she had, she was spicy. Look at me, I even got a little chinita on my skin and I'm sweating, I want to vomit. No more out of respect for the people and the customers who were there, but I also have a taqueria and do you think I'm going to like it if someone comes in and vomits when they see the food I sell?”, commented the taquero about his experience.
HotSpanish subsequently reported that the tiktoker was fine, although the food had gone bad for him due to the excessive amount of condiments. As a result, the vendor received the keys to his luxury car, fulfilling the promise of the prize.
