me: you should have cancelled Duolingo a long time ago because it both doesn't work and gives you the sensation that you're learning. it's a trap, a red herring.

ok also the AI thing, the AI thing is pretty bad. if you didn't cancel Duolingo before you should definitely do so now. but since you're cancelling Duolingo anyway why don't you take this opportunity to change your language learning methods to something that makes you able to use a language? :pinkgirl_bigheart:

- reading for pleasure
- playing videogames
- flirting
- basically anything where your attention is focused on using the language in practice to convey a message and interact with people and art without grammar analsyis, abstract sample text, isolated sentences, spaced repetition, flashcards, translation, all this busywork that feels like hard-won progress but keeps you spinning gears
