   I know it wouldn’t be narratively interesting, but I feel like one thing we rarely see in a post-apolocyptic film/show is a pocket society that just sort of…figured it out.

   They’re living an awful world, but they’re safe. They’ve got it together. There’s no hidden despot.

   They’ve just…survived.

     On a similar vein, it feels like every post-apocalyptic story or dystopia seems to have a religious (almost always Christian) cult. I just want one with a small community of happy, well-adjusted Episcopalians or Quakers just kind of doing their thing.
