@puniko definitely a good approach, don't hesitate to use the eraser too to trim some lines as well like so:

@puniko @bahi0u or go to stabilizers, select "stabilized" check "finish lines" and "stabilze sensors" and set the stabilizing value to something that feels comfortable to you.

@Drayventhal@mastodon.social @bahi0u@mk.absturztau.be i usually use the weighted smoothing instead of the stabilizer. but thanks for the tip, might try that out another time

@puniko @bahi0u if you prefer the method with the eraser don't forget you can always switch between drawing and erasing-mode with "e" for every brush.

@puniko @bahi0u that switches a second tool only. In Krita every brush is a eraser at the same time. That behavior can be switched by pushing "e". :3

@Drayventhal@mastodon.social @puniko@mk.absturztau.be Btw is there a way to toggle that ? I use the ten brush script to make "e" use a specific brush ( a flat eraser) I'd like to have the last selected eraser instead :akko_thonk: But since Krita doesnt have a eraser type of tool, it reverts back to my specified brush.
As far as I know, there is no way of toggling the behavior of the "e" keyIn conversation permalink Puniko ? likes this. -

@bahi0u @puniko Krita has by design no dedicated eraser tool, what makes sense to me since the eraser is basically just a brush behavior. So what you mean is basically just a hotkey to a specific brush preset.
AFAIK you can assign your favorite brushes to hotkeys (I think CTRL+ALT+1 to 0) or toggle between your last two selected brushes with "/".In conversation permalink Puniko ? likes this. -

@Drayventhal@mastodon.social @puniko@mk.absturztau.be Mmmh, that pretty much confirm what I was thinking, so I would need 2 different hotkeys for one soft eraser and one hard..
Thanks for letting me know ! I might assign more keys then !In conversation permalink Puniko ? likes this. -

@Drayventhal@mastodon.social @puniko@mk.absturztau.be A workaround would be assigning another key for soft eraser, or pressing the eraser mode on a soft brush. But that's kind of tedious tbh :elainaembarrassed:

@bahi0u @puniko I just looked up the hotkey-presets since I never used this before. you can find it under "scripts".
It's called "10 brushes".In conversation permalink Attachments

@bahi0u @puniko you can put your eraser presets in the favorites. then they are always quickly available by right clicking on the canvas.
