   It is absolutely insane how much houses and home projects cost. I am gonna be out $50,000 by the time I am done with the entire thing, and this place was in pretty good shape as it is.
   
   Without getting as ridiculously lucky as I have, I don't see a lot of my peers making it to homeownership if this trend continues.

     @7666 I'm not going to make it. I've already basically accepted that I'm not going to own a home in this country. It's unacceptable how expensive and inaccessible housing is in the United States and it's pretty wild that there isn't a massive and constant outcry about it from the citizenry.
