@maxine Yeah, this approach of dumbing down tech has bothered me for a long time. I would also prefer it if instead it was optimized for learning and mastering.

Up to around Windows 7, there was a "help and support" system application with extensive, searchable, offline documentation. This greatly helped me become as tech-literate as I am now. Nowadays the mainstream approach seems to be "know how to google it, or get fucked"
