@waifu that's what I say about everything. Can't we just have normal people doing ___? Why does it have to be shitty? -

@waifu @f0x You have to be a special kind of a human to dedicate your life to playing games 8+ hours a day and write reviews about them. And those types either turned to "Look at this shiny new DEI game that runs at 20 FPS on a 5090", and the more "normal" one turned into "I believe in everything Alex Jones says all the time". Slight hyperbole included. -

@RustyCrab@clubcyberia.co ok
Is there something that can give me accurate information about games with a hint of opinion but always trying to keep the division on objectivity so I can decide if I want to play the game or not -

@waifu I've always found steam reviews reasonably accurate if you have nothing else.
But really the best you can get is finding a forum or community that roughly aligns with you and just asking if anybody's played it.
Corporate game reviewers have never been objective in the slightest and are usually pay-to-play. Either literally or on an ideological basis (they all believe the same thing). -

@RustyCrab @waifu tip for steam is to read the negative reviews those will tell you more about if you’ll like a game or not then the glut of memey or vauge positive reviews Forest of Enchantment likes this.
