   You know what I wish the more human-centered tech conferences would do right now?

   Open up special tickets and speaking slots for scientists whose work is getting axed and whose fields are being obliterated right now. I bet you anything this would bring some radical insight to your audiences and incredible energy to your stages.

   I can advertise this for you through my social science networks. I am seeing scores of brilliant young social scientists with years of relevant work grieve right now

     I know this won't fix everything, but maybe it would help a few people share a bit of work and get a bit of community and my entire career is a testament to the value of this work for YOUR organizations too. I bet something radically good could come from a little bit of cross-industry support right now

     I don't know, we gotta try. It is breaking my heart seeing these gifted young scientists talk about their incredible work into a vacuum.

     Feel free to reach out if you have thoughts on this and are in a position to do something. I have helped several conferences connect with student groups and for the right situation, I would also be happy to spend a few pro bono hours doing speaker coaching for scientists. I have been on this journey and I know how much they could bring to your audiences
