@madison@Myshkin@jill I dealt with two ticks yesterday :blobcatglare: I fed one to the chickens, they're also happy to eat them (probably not as good as guinea hens but I will take what I can get) :apartyblobcat:
Yeah I know that's why people get Guinea Hens! Because they are cute and also love eating ticks. If we move somewhere with ticks we will get Guinea! And that makes me feel better, but yes I hate ticks and I've never even seen one IRL :aqua_cry:
Hey guys I'm actually kind of scared of ticks.. I've never encountered one in my life but I know they exist in the places we are going on our Freedom Tour (the road trip we are going on, yes I'm making us matching tshirts)
My old best friend was chronically ill and her daughters were acting severely autistic. Turns out my friend had Lyme disease for 20 years and had to take antibiotics for a year to kill it and her daughters had it too and got cured and started acting "normal" :animu_scared:
@madison@Myshkin@jill Oh oh I hate ticks :pepereeeee: but don't fret too much. "In general, infected ticks must be attached for more than 24 hours to transmit infection; prompt tick removal can prevent transmission." Just gotta be quick about it.
You might get a little obsessive about every little tickling feeling for a bit (ha hah couldn't be me ) but they're pretty easy to find/ remove quickly. In general, check yourself/ kids regularly; it'll be okay :BlobCatHeart:
