In 2024, the US residential solar market experienced its first annual decline in installed capacity since 2017 - a 31% contraction year-over-year - driven by persistent financing challenges and economic uncertainty. Wood-Mackenzie doesn't anticipate a recovery in customer ownership beginning in 2026.

Hopefully, enough Americans will choose to install PV & batteries this year that their prediction on how long the recovery will take are wrong.
