     @Evil_Bender @transgrammaractivist the value all depends on them not being easy to destroy. If supersonic missiles/projectiles prove too hard to intercept, that puts a massive dent in navies.

     @Evil_Bender @transgrammaractivist what would be interesting would be a future where you have giant rail gun ships that can destroy other huge ships, but have to be like 20mi away to do it.
