   @Snowshadow hmm. I don’t know about the use of predatory loans in this context, but I believe the 2023 stats say 25% of Canadians experienced food insecurity, so it wouldn’t be a stretch. And it’s not like food is cheaper now.

   There was legislation this year limiting these loans to 35% (formerly closer to 50%).
