  it actually uses the `Article` type if you let the plugin choose the best possible option. ...but because `Article` is not very well supported by Mastodon and threads, some users use `Note` for every type. but we are about to fix this: https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/fep/b2b8/fep-b2b8.md

    …which displays in eg Mastodon but I don’t think it uses the “Article” type, it’s just an extremely long microblog (“Note” type) The only useful implementation I know of is Darius’ RSS reposter, which when used with his Hometown fork supports “read more” rather than putting 2000 chars in a column
