   Mastodon is doing their “mass banning of Conservatives” thing again.

   This time a popular Free Software server (Fosstodon) is being attacked and mass-blocked because one of their volunteer moderators implied (on a different platform) that he did not have a problem with the deportation of Mahmoud Khalil.

   The Leftist Extremists of Mastodon responded by calling him (and everyone on the same server as him) a fascist — then “de-federating” the server.

     What is the whole point of decentralization and "everybody can message everyone on different servers" if they use defederation for CENSORSHIP?

     I think defederation shouldn't exist in first place.
     Users should be the ones to get to decide what they see on their feed, similar to nostr's relays system.

     This doesn't empower the users, but takes away their freedom.

     Not a new tactic from the far left.
