FTTH my ass. I didn't have nearly as many dropouts and slowdowns on copper. At first I thought that since it was a mandated "upgrade", I would be at least able to host an instance at home, but now I know that would require caching almost everything on a VPS. Every day starting at ~20:00 to 02:00 thinks start breaking down.

@phnt I do heavy caching regardless of performance (which would suck anyway cause 300ms pings to another continent).

I genuinely hate all my ISP options. My previous ISP was bought by another big (but still relatively small) ISP, things were working fine for literal years. Now that one of the three big telcos bought the "relatively small" ISP, shit started breaking. I'm also somewhat positive it's their shitty ass "smart" router, but there's no easy way to change it. They are probably doing some kind of custom auth because simply cloning the MAC did not work.
Now almost all ISPs (besides very local ones) are owned by the "big three" and all of them suck.
