I read that #California is running out of numbers for #licenseplates:

The obvious solution would be to stop allowing more cars.
If that ain't possible, just take a page from the European playbook and add fractional numbers at the end.

  @masek Brazil/Mercosur plates already follow similar guidelines. Only a certain part of [North] America is lagging behind :ms_hand_over_mouth:

  1. License plate from Brazil. There's a short dark-blue bar at the top with the Mercosur logo at the left, "Brasil" written at the center and the Brazilian flag on the right side. Then the rest of the plate have a white background with a QR Code right bellow the blue bar in the top left corner and the initials "BR" in the bottom left corner. The license plate is made of three letters, a number, then a letter and two more numbers. In the picture "ABC1D34" is used as example.
